Arbok 31/62 · Fossil

Arbok is Pokédex #024, generation 1 (Kanto). Arbok is a Stage 1 Grass Pokémon with 60 HP. The card lists level 27. The card says it evolves from Ekans. In this catalog that name is Ekans (#023).

Arbok sits at 31/62 in Fossil, position 31 of 62. Before it is 30 Zapdos, and after it is 32 Cloyster. The set belongs to the Base series. It was released on October 10, 1999. The printed size is 62, and the checklist is the same length. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

The attack Terror Strike lists 10 damage. The cost is Grass. Flip a coin. If heads and if your opponent has any Benched Pokémon, he or she chooses 1 of them and switches it with the Defending Pokémon. (Do the damage before switching the Pokémon.) Poison Fang is another attack lists 20 damage. The cost is Grass, Grass, Colorless. The Defending Pokémon is now Poisoned. Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "It is rumored that the ferocious warning markings on its belly differ from area to area."

Arbok (#024) has 19 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 15 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2000 to 2025. The earliest other card is Dark Arbok 2/82 in Team Rocket (2000). That card is named Dark Arbok, while this one is Arbok. Both list 60 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Uncommon. Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated that card, and Ken Sugimori illustrated this one. 17 other cards of Arbok list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Ken Sugimori. I count 1,112 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Fossil set binder is where a full Fossil set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Arbok can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
