Arbok 29/100 · Sandstorm

Arbok is Pokédex #024, generation 1 (Kanto). Arbok is a Stage 1 Grass Pokémon with 70 HP. The card says it evolves from Ekans. In this catalog that name is Ekans (#023).

Arbok sits at 29/100 in Sandstorm, position 29 of 100. Before it is 28 Anorith, and after it is 30 Azumarill. The set belongs to the EX series. It was released on September 18, 2003. The printed size is 100, and the checklist is the same length. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

Intimidating Fang is listed as Poké-Body. As long as Arbok is your Active Pokémon, any damage done to your Pokémon by an opponent's attack is reduced by 10 (before applying Weakness and Resistance). The attack Toxic lists 20 damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless, Colorless. The Defending Pokémon is now Poisoned. Put 2 damage counters instead of 1 on the Defending Pokémon between turns. Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 1.

Arbok (#024) has 19 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 15 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2025. The earliest other card is Arbok 31/62 in Fossil (1999). That card lists 60 HP, and this one lists 70 HP. Both list the rarity Uncommon. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Midori Harada illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 2, and here it is 1. 17 other cards of Arbok list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Midori Harada. I count 352 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Sandstorm set binder is where a full Sandstorm set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Arbok can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
