Palkia-EX 66/101 · Plasma Blast

Palkia is Pokédex #484, generation 4 (Sinnoh). Palkia-EX is a Basic EX Team Plasma Dragon Pokémon with 180 HP.

Palkia-EX sits at 66/101 in Plasma Blast, position 66 of 105. Before it is 65 Dialga-EX, and after it is 67 Axew. The set belongs to the Black & White series. It was released on August 14, 2013. The printed size is 101. This checklist is longer, at 105 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Holo EX.

The attack Strafe lists 50 damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. You may switch this Pokémon with 1 of your Benched Pokémon. Dimension Heal is another attack lists 80 damage. The cost is Grass, Water, Colorless, Colorless. Heal from this Pokémon 20 damage for each Plasma Energy attached to this Pokémon. Weakness is Dragon ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The card text says: Pokémon-EX rule: When a Pokémon-EX has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Palkia (#484) has 39 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 21 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2026. The earliest other card is Palkia 11/130 in Diamond & Pearl (2007). That card is named Palkia, while this one is Palkia-EX. That card lists 90 HP, and this one lists 180 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare Holo EX. Nakaoka illustrated that card, and Eske Yoshinob illustrated this one. 31 other cards of Palkia list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Eske Yoshinob. I count 177 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Plasma Blast set binder is where a full Plasma Blast set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Palkia can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). Themed lists that include this exact card are Team Plasma and Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina. I still need this card.
