Porygon-Z 74/101 · Plasma Blast

Plasma Blast is a set in the Black & White series. It was released on August 14, 2013. The printed size is 101. This checklist is longer, at 105 cards. Porygon-Z is 74/101, in position 74 of 105 on this checklist. Before it is 73 Porygon2, and after it is 75 Teddiursa. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Porygon-Z is a Stage 2 Team Plasma Colorless Pokémon with 130 HP. In the Pokédex this is Porygon-Z (#474), generation 4 (Sinnoh). The card says it evolves from Porygon2. In this catalog that name is Porygon2 (#233).

5ban Graphics illustrated this card. The same name is on 1,629 other cards in the catalog.

Porygon-Z (#474) has 17 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 14 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2025. The earliest other card is Porygon-Z DP35/56 in DP Black Star Promos (2007). That card lists 120 HP, and this one lists 130 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Holo. Kagemaru Himeno illustrated that card, and 5ban Graphics illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 2, and here it is 1. 10 other cards of Porygon-Z list a different HP.

Plasma Transfer is listed as Ability. As often as you like during your turn (before your attack), you may move a Plasma Energy attached to 1 of your Pokémon to another of your Pokémon. The attack Tri Attack lists 50× damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. Flip 3 coins. This attack does 50 damage times the number of heads. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "Its programming was modified to enable work in alien dimensions. It did not work as planned."

I keep a set binder for Plasma Blast, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Plasma Blast set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Porygon-Z can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). Themed lists that include this exact card are Team Plasma. I still need this card.
