Porygon-Z 66/98 · Ancient Origins

Porygon-Z is Pokédex #474, generation 4 (Sinnoh). Porygon-Z is a Stage 2 Colorless Pokémon with 130 HP. The card says it evolves from Porygon2. In this catalog that name is Porygon2 (#233).

Porygon-Z sits at 66/98 in Ancient Origins, position 66 of 101. Before it is 65 Porygon2, and after it is 67 Porygon-Z. The set belongs to the XY series. It was released on August 12, 2015. The printed size is 98. This checklist is longer, at 101 cards. The listed rarity is Rare.

The attack Cyber Crush lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. Discard all Special Energy attached to each of your opponent's Pokémon. Slowing Beam is another attack lists 70 damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. During your opponent's next turn, the Defending Pokémon's attacks cost Colorless more. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "Its programming was modified to enable it to travel through alien dimensions. Seems there might have been an error…"

Porygon-Z (#474) has 17 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 15 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2025. The earliest other card is Porygon-Z DP35/56 in DP Black Star Promos (2007). That card lists 120 HP, and this one lists 130 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare. Kagemaru Himeno illustrated that card, and TOKIYA illustrated this one. 10 other cards of Porygon-Z list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads TOKIYA. I count 93 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Ancient Origins set binder is where a full Ancient Origins set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Porygon-Z can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). I still need this card.
