Porygon-Z BW84/101 · BW Black Star Promos

Porygon-Z is Pokédex #474, generation 4 (Sinnoh). Porygon-Z is a Stage 2 Team Plasma Colorless Pokémon with 130 HP. The card says it evolves from Porygon2. In this catalog that name is Porygon2 (#233).

Porygon-Z sits at BW84/101 in BW Black Star Promos, position 84 of 101. Before it is BW83 Lugia-EX, and after it is BW85 Lucario. The set belongs to the Black & White series. It was released on March 1, 2011. The printed size is 101, and the checklist is the same length. The listed rarity is Promo.

Plasma Transfer is listed as Ability. As often as you like during your turn (before your attack), you may move a Plasma Energy attached to 1 of your Pokémon to another of your Pokémon. The attack Tri Attack lists 50× damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. Flip 3 coins. This attack does 50 damage times the number of heads. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "Its programming was modified to enable work in alien dimensions. It did not work as planned."

Porygon-Z (#474) has 17 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 14 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2025. The earliest other card is Porygon-Z DP35/56 in DP Black Star Promos (2007). That card lists 120 HP, and this one lists 130 HP. Both list the rarity Promo. Kagemaru Himeno illustrated that card, and 5ban Graphics illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 2, and here it is 1. 10 other cards of Porygon-Z list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads 5ban Graphics. I count 1,629 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

BW Black Star Promos set binder is where a full BW Black Star Promos set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Porygon-Z can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). Themed lists that include this exact card are Team Plasma. I still need this card.
