Black Kyurem-EX 100/113 · Legendary Treasures

Kyurem is Pokédex #646, generation 5 (Unova). Black Kyurem-EX is a Basic EX Dragon Pokémon with 180 HP.

Black Kyurem-EX sits at 100/113 in Legendary Treasures, position 100 of 140. Before it is 99 Hydreigon, and after it is 101 White Kyurem-EX. The set belongs to the Black & White series. It was released on November 6, 2013. The printed size is 113. This checklist is longer, at 140 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Holo EX.

The attack Dragon Fang lists 60 damage. The cost is Lightning, Colorless, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokémon is now Paralyzed. Freeze Shock is another attack lists 150 damage. The cost is Water, Lightning, Lightning, Colorless. This Pokémon can't attack during your next turn. Weakness is Dragon ×2. Retreat cost is 3. The card text says: Pokémon-EX rule: When a Pokémon-EX has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Kyurem (#646) has 49 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 22 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2025. The earliest other card is Kyurem-EX BW37/101 in BW Black Star Promos (2011). That card is named Kyurem-EX, while this one is Black Kyurem-EX. Both list 180 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Holo EX. Shizurow illustrated that card, and Eske Yoshinob illustrated this one. 33 other cards of Kyurem list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Eske Yoshinob. I count 177 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Legendary Treasures set binder is where a full Legendary Treasures set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Kyurem can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). I still need this card.
