Altaria 84/124 · Dragons Exalted

Dragons Exalted is a set in the Black & White series. It was released on August 15, 2012. The printed size is 124. This checklist is longer, at 128 cards. Altaria is 84/124, in position 84 of 128 on this checklist. Before it is 83 Durant, and after it is 85 Rayquaza-EX. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Altaria is a Stage 1 Dragon Pokémon with 70 HP. In the Pokédex this is Altaria (#334), generation 3 (Hoenn). The card says it evolves from Swablu. In this catalog that name is Swablu (#333).

HiRON illustrated this card. The same name is on 12 other cards in the catalog.

Altaria (#334) has 38 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 27 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2024. The earliest other card is Altaria 2/97 in Dragon (2003). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 70 HP. Both list the rarity Rare Holo. Atsuko Nishida illustrated that card, and HiRON illustrated this one. 35 other cards of Altaria list a different HP.

Fight Song is listed as Ability. Your Dragon Pokémon's attacks do 20 more damage to the Active Pokémon (before applying Weakness and Resistance). The attack Glide lists 40 damage. The cost is Water, Metal, Colorless. Weakness is Dragon ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "If it bonds with a person, it will gently envelop the friend with its soft wings, then hum."

I keep a set binder for Dragons Exalted, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Dragons Exalted set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Altaria can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
