Charizard 136/135 · Plasma Storm

Plasma Storm is a set in the Black & White series. It was released on February 6, 2013. The printed size is 135. This checklist is longer, at 138 cards. Charizard is 136/135, in position 136 of 138 on this checklist. Before it is 135 Colress, and after it is 137 Blastoise. The collector number is above the printed set size of 135. The listed rarity is Rare Secret.

Charizard is a Stage 2 Fire Pokémon with 160 HP. In the Pokédex this is Charizard (#006), generation 1 (Kanto). The card says it evolves from Charmeleon. In this catalog that name is Charmeleon (#005).

Ayaka Yoshida illustrated this card. The same name is on 128 other cards in the catalog.

Charizard (#006) has 106 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 50 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Charizard 4/102 in Base (1999). That card lists 120 HP, and this one lists 160 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare Secret. Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated that card, and Ayaka Yoshida illustrated this one. 98 other cards of Charizard list a different HP.

The attack Split Bomb lists no damage number. The cost is Fire, Colorless, Colorless. This attack does 40 damage to 2 of your opponent's Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Scorching Fire is another attack lists 150 damage. The cost is Fire, Colorless, Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. Discard a Fire Energy attached to this Pokémon. Weakness is Water ×2. Retreat cost is 3. The flavor text reads "This extremely rare Pokémon is a different color than usual. It is very hard to find."

I keep a set binder for Plasma Storm, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Plasma Storm set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Charizard can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). Themed lists that include this exact card are All Charizard cards. I still need this card.
