Mew 11/25 · Celebrations

Celebrations is a set in the Sword & Shield series. It was released on October 8, 2021. The printed size is 25, and the checklist is the same length. Mew is 11/25, in position 11 of 25 on this checklist. Before it is 10 Zekrom, and after it is 12 Xerneas. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Mew is a Basic Psychic Pokémon with 60 HP. In the Pokédex this is Mew (#151), generation 1 (Kanto).

Yuu Nishida illustrated this card. The same name is on 65 other cards in the catalog.

Mew (#151) has 60 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 35 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Mew 8/53 in Wizards Black Star Promos (1999). That card lists 50 HP, and this one lists 60 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Holo. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Yuu Nishida illustrated this one. 47 other cards of Mew list a different HP.

Mysterious Tail is listed as Ability. Once during your turn, if this Pokémon is in the Active Spot, you may look at the top 6 cards of your deck, reveal an Item card you find there, and put it into your hand. Shuffle the other cards back into your deck. The attack Psyshot lists 30 damage. The cost is Psychic, Colorless. Weakness is Darkness ×2. Resistance is Fighting -30. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "Its DNA is said to contain the genetic codes of all Pokémon, so it can use all kinds of techniques." The regulation mark is E.

I keep a set binder for Celebrations, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Celebrations set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Mew can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
