Mew ex 88/25 · Celebrations: Classic Collection

Mew is Pokédex #151, generation 1 (Kanto). Mew ex is a Basic ex Psychic Pokémon with 90 HP.

Mew ex sits at 88/25 in Celebrations: Classic Collection, position 15 of 22. Before it is 86 Rocket's Admin., and after it is 93 Gardevoir ex δ. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on October 8, 2021. The printed size is 25. This checklist is longer, at 22 cards. The collector number is above the printed set size of 25. The listed rarity is Classic Collection.

Versatile is listed as Poké-Body. Mew ex can use the attacks of all Pokémon in play as its own. (You still need the necessary Energy to use each attack.) The attack Power Move lists no damage number. The cost is Psychic, Colorless. Search your deck for an Energy card and attach it to Mew ex. Shuffle your deck afterward. Then, you may switch Mew ex with 1 of your Benched Pokémon. Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The card text says: When Pokémon-ex has been knocked out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Mew (#151) has 60 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 34 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Mew 8/53 in Wizards Black Star Promos (1999). That card is named Mew, while this one is Mew ex. That card lists 50 HP, and this one lists 90 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Classic Collection. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Ryo Ueda illustrated this one. 58 other cards of Mew list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Ryo Ueda. I count 462 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Celebrations: Classic Collection set binder is where a full Celebrations: Classic Collection set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Mew can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
