Mothim 42/100 · Majestic Dawn

Majestic Dawn is a set in the Diamond & Pearl series. It was released on May 1, 2008. The printed size is 100, and the checklist is the same length. Mothim is 42/100, in position 42 of 100 on this checklist. Before it is 41 Monferno, and after it is 43 Pachirisu. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

Mothim is a Stage 1 Grass Pokémon with 80 HP. The card lists level 41. In the Pokédex this is Mothim (#414), generation 4 (Sinnoh). The card says it evolves from Burmy. In this catalog that name is Burmy (#412).

Masakazu Fukuda illustrated this card. The same name is on 471 other cards in the catalog.

Mothim (#414) has 5 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 5 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2022. The earliest other card is Mothim 33/132 in Secret Wonders (2007). Both list 80 HP. The rarity there is Rare, and here it is Uncommon. Kazuyuki Kano illustrated that card, and Masakazu Fukuda illustrated this one. 3 other cards of Mothim list a different HP.

Disturbance Scales is listed as Poké-Body. Any damage done by attacks from your Pokémon to the Defending Pokémon isn't affected by Resistance. The attack Get Help lists 30× damage. The cost is Grass. Does 30 damage times the number of different types of Wormadam on your Bench. Quick Touch is another attack lists 40 damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless. You may switch Mothim with 1 of your Benched Pokémon. If you do, move as many Energy cards attached to Mothim as you like to the new Active Pokémon. Weakness is Fire +20. Resistance is Fighting -20. The flavor text reads "It loves the honey of flowers and steals honey collected by Combee."

I keep a set binder for Majestic Dawn, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Majestic Dawn set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Mothim can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). I still need this card.
