Unown [?] 82/146 · Legends Awakened

Unown is Pokédex #201, generation 2 (Johto). Unown [?] is a Basic Psychic Pokémon with 70 HP. The card lists level 18.

Unown [?] sits at 82/146 in Legends Awakened, position 82 of 146. Before it is 81 Unown [Y], and after it is 83 Beldum. The set belongs to the Diamond & Pearl series. It was released on August 1, 2008. The printed size is 146, and the checklist is the same length. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

? is listed as Poké-Power. Once during your turn (before your attack), if Unown ? is on your Bench, you may choose a Pokémon in your hand and put it face down. Your opponent guesses a type of that Pokémon. Reveal that card. If your opponent guessed wrong, draw a card. Then, put that card back into your hand. The attack Hidden Power lists no damage number. Discard up to 2 cards from your hand. For each card you discarded, draw a card. Weakness is Psychic +10. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "Shaped like ancient writing, it is a huge mystery whether language or Unown came first."

Unown (#201) has 95 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 18 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Unown [J] 38/53 in Wizards Black Star Promos (1999). That card is named Unown [J], while this one is Unown [?]. That card lists 40 HP, and this one lists 70 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Uncommon. Hideki Kazama illustrated that card, and Kazuaki Aihara illustrated this one. 95 other cards of Unown list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Kazuaki Aihara. I count 11 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Legends Awakened set binder is where a full Legends Awakened set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Unown can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
