Holon's Magneton 22/113 · Delta Species

Delta Species is a set in the EX series. It was released on October 31, 2005. The printed size is 113. This checklist is longer, at 114 cards. Holon's Magneton is 22/113, in position 22 of 114 on this checklist. Before it is 21 Holon's Electrode, and after it is 23 Hypno. The listed rarity is Rare.

Holon's Magneton is a Stage 1 Metal Pokémon with 70 HP. In the Pokédex this is Magneton (#082), generation 1 (Kanto). The card says it evolves from Holon's Magnemite. In this catalog that name is Magnemite (#081). The card lists Magnezone, Magnezone (#462) under evolves to.

Katsura Tabata illustrated this card. The same name is on 35 other cards in the catalog.

Magneton (#082) has 44 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 34 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2025. The earliest other card is Magneton 9/102 in Base (1999). That card is named Magneton, while this one is Holon's Magneton. That card lists 60 HP, and this one lists 70 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare. Keiji Kinebuchi illustrated that card, and Katsura Tabata illustrated this one. 34 other cards of Magneton list a different HP.

The attack Extra Ball lists 30+ damage. The cost is Metal, Colorless. If the Defending Pokémon is Pokémon-ex, this attack does 30 damage plus 20 more damage. Weakness is Fire ×2. Resistance is Grass -30. Retreat cost is 1. The card text says: You may attach this as an Energy card from your hand to 1 of your Pokémon that already has an Energy card attached to it. When you attach this card, return an Energy card attached to that Pokémon to your hand. While attached, this card is a Special Energy card and provides every type of Energy but 2 Energy at a time. (Has no effect other than providing Energy.)

I keep a set binder for Delta Species, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Delta Species set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Magneton can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Trainer's Pokémon. I still need this card.
