Huntail 18/92 · Legend Maker

Legend Maker is a set in the EX series. It was released on February 1, 2006. The printed size is 92. This checklist is longer, at 93 cards. Huntail is 18/92, in position 18 of 93 on this checklist. Before it is 17 Gorebyss, and after it is 19 Lanturn. The listed rarity is Rare.

Huntail is a Stage 1 Water Pokémon with 80 HP. In the Pokédex this is Huntail (#367), generation 3 (Hoenn). The card says it evolves from Clamperl. In this catalog that name is Clamperl (#366).

Midori Harada illustrated this card. The same name is on 352 other cards in the catalog.

Huntail (#367) has 6 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 6 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2004 to 2025. The earliest other card is Huntail 19/101 in Hidden Legends (2004). Both list 80 HP. Both list the rarity Rare. Kagemaru Himeno illustrated that card, and Midori Harada illustrated this one. 5 other cards of Huntail list a different HP.

Reactive Generator is listed as Poké-Power. Once during your turn (before your attack), if Huntail has no React Energy cards attached to it, you may search your deck for a React Energy card and attach it to Huntail. Shuffle your deck afterward. This power can't be used if Huntail is affected by a Special Condition. The attack Bite Off lists 40+ damage. The cost is Water, Colorless, Colorless. If the Defending Pokémon is Pokémon-ex, this attack does 40 damage plus 30 more damage. Weakness is Lightning ×2. Retreat cost is 1.

I keep a set binder for Legend Maker, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Legend Maker set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Huntail can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
