Flygon 15/97 · Dragon

Flygon is Pokédex #330, generation 3 (Hoenn). Flygon is a Stage 2 Colorless Pokémon with 100 HP. The card says it evolves from Vibrava. In this catalog that name is Vibrava (#329).

Flygon sits at 15/97 in Dragon, position 15 of 100. Before it is 14 Dragonair, and after it is 16 Girafarig. The set belongs to the EX series. It was released on November 24, 2003. The printed size is 97. This checklist is longer, at 100 cards. The listed rarity is Rare.

Sand Guard is listed as Poké-Body. Whenever Flygon would be damaged by your opponent's attack (after applying Weakness and Resistance), flip a coin. If heads, reduce that damage by 20. The attack Air Slash lists 60 damage. The cost is Grass, Lightning, Colorless. Flip a coin. If tails, discard an Energy card attached to Flygon. Retreat cost is 2.

Flygon (#330) has 27 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 20 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2025. The earliest other card is Flygon 25/40 in Nintendo Black Star Promos (2003). That card lists 120 HP, and this one lists 100 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare. Kouki Saitou illustrated that card, and Hajime Kusajima illustrated this one. 27 other cards of Flygon list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Hajime Kusajima. I count 206 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Dragon set binder is where a full Dragon set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Flygon can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
