Girafarig 16/97 · Dragon

Dragon is a set in the EX series. It was released on November 24, 2003. The printed size is 97. This checklist is longer, at 100 cards. Girafarig is 16/97, in position 16 of 100 on this checklist. Before it is 15 Flygon, and after it is 17 Magneton. The listed rarity is Rare.

Girafarig is a Basic Psychic Pokémon with 70 HP. In the Pokédex this is Girafarig (#203), generation 2 (Johto).

Midori Harada illustrated this card. The same name is on 352 other cards in the catalog.

Girafarig (#203) has 13 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 13 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2000 to 2024. The earliest other card is Girafarig 58/111 in Neo Genesis (2000). That card lists 60 HP, and this one lists 70 HP. The rarity there is Common, and here it is Rare. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Midori Harada illustrated this one. 10 other cards of Girafarig list a different HP.

The attack Synchronized Search lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. If Girafarig and the Defending Pokémon have the same amount of Energy attached to them, pick any 1 card from your deck and put it into your hand. Shuffle your deck afterward. Breaking Impact is another attack lists no damage number. The cost is Psychic, Colorless. Choose 1 of your opponent's Pokémon. This attack does 10 damage for each Colorless Energy in that Pokémon's Retreat Cost to that Pokémon (after applying effects to the Retreat Cost). (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 1.

I keep a set binder for Dragon, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Dragon set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Girafarig can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
