Team Magma's Groudon 9/95 · Team Magma vs Team Aqua

Groudon is Pokédex #383, generation 3 (Hoenn). Team Magma's Groudon is a Basic Fighting Darkness Pokémon with 100 HP.

Team Magma's Groudon sits at 9/95 in Team Magma vs Team Aqua, position 9 of 97. Before it is 8 Team Magma's Claydol, and after it is 10 Team Magma's Houndoom. The set belongs to the EX series. It was released on March 1, 2004. The printed size is 95. This checklist is longer, at 97 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Power Saver is listed as Poké-Body. As long as the number of Pokémon in play (both yours and your opponent's) that has Team Magma in its name is 3 or less, Team Magma's Groudon can't attack. The attack Linear Attack lists no damage number. The cost is Fighting, Colorless. Choose 1 of your opponent's Pokémon. This attack does 20 damage to that Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Pulverize is another attack lists 50+ damage. The cost is Fighting, Fighting, Colorless. If the Defending Pokémon already has at least 2 damage counters on it, this attack does 50 damage plus 20 more damage. Weakness is Grass ×2. Retreat cost is 3. The card text says: This Pokémon is both Fighting Darkness type.

Groudon (#383) has 33 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 21 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2026. The earliest other card is Groudon ex 2/40 in Nintendo Black Star Promos (2003). That card is named Groudon ex, while this one is Team Magma's Groudon. That card lists 120 HP, and this one lists 100 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Holo. 26 other cards of Groudon list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Kazuo Yazawa. I count 9 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Team Magma vs Team Aqua set binder is where a full Team Magma vs Team Aqua set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Groudon can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). Themed lists that include this exact card are Trainer's Pokémon, Team Aqua and Team Magma, and Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza. I still need this card.
