Vaporeon-EX 24/83 · Generations

Vaporeon is Pokédex #134, generation 1 (Kanto). Vaporeon-EX is a Basic EX Water Pokémon with 180 HP.

Vaporeon-EX sits at 24/83 in Generations, position 24 of 117. Before it is 23 Gyarados, and after it is 25 Articuno. The set belongs to the XY series. It was released on February 22, 2016. The printed size is 83. This checklist is longer, at 117 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Holo EX.

The attack Bubble Drain lists 30 damage. The cost is Water, Colorless. Heal 30 damage from this Pokémon. Deep Squall is another attack lists 130- damage. The cost is Water, Water, Colorless. This attack does 130 damage minus 10 damage for each damage counter on this Pokémon. Weakness is Grass ×2. Retreat cost is 3. The card text says: Pokémon-EX rule: When a Pokémon-EX has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Vaporeon (#134) has 36 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 27 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2025. The earliest other card is Vaporeon 12/64 in Jungle (1999). That card is named Vaporeon, while this one is Vaporeon-EX. That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 180 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare Holo EX. Kagemaru Himeno illustrated that card, and Naoki Saito illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 3. 36 other cards of Vaporeon list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Naoki Saito. I count 270 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Generations set binder is where a full Generations set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Vaporeon can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Eevee and the Eeveelutions. I still need this card.
