Muk 31/90 · HS—Undaunted

Muk is Pokédex #089, generation 1 (Kanto). Muk is a Stage 1 Psychic Pokémon with 100 HP. The card says it evolves from Grimer. In this catalog that name is Grimer (#088).

Muk sits at 31/90 in HS—Undaunted, position 31 of 91. Before it is 30 Metang, and after it is 32 Pinsir. The set belongs to the HeartGold & SoulSilver series. It was released on August 18, 2010. The printed size is 90. This checklist is longer, at 91 cards. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

The attack Sludge Drag lists no damage number. The cost is Psychic. Switch the Defending Pokémon with 1 of your opponent's Benched Pokémon. The new Defending Pokémon is now Confused and Poisoned. Pester is another attack lists 50+ damage. The cost is Psychic, Colorless, Colorless. If the Defending Pokémon is affected by a Special Condition, this attack does 50 damage plus 30 more damage. Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 3. The flavor text reads "Its body is made of a powerful poison. Touching it accidentally will cause a fever that requires bed rest."

Muk (#089) has 31 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 23 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2025. The earliest other card is Muk 13/62 in Fossil (1999). That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 100 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Uncommon. Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated that card, and Midori Harada illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 2, and here it is 3. 28 other cards of Muk list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Midori Harada. I count 352 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

HS—Undaunted set binder is where a full HS—Undaunted set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Muk can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
