Skuntank 37/90 · HS—Undaunted

Skuntank is Pokédex #435, generation 4 (Sinnoh). Skuntank is a Stage 1 Darkness Pokémon with 80 HP. The card says it evolves from Stunky. In this catalog that name is Stunky (#434).

Skuntank sits at 37/90 in HS—Undaunted, position 37 of 91. Before it is 36 Scyther, and after it is 38 Slowbro. The set belongs to the HeartGold & SoulSilver series. It was released on August 18, 2010. The printed size is 90. This checklist is longer, at 91 cards. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

The attack Stun Gas lists no damage number. The cost is Darkness. Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokémon is now Poisoned. If tails, the Defending Pokémon is now Paralyzed. Fury Swipes is another attack lists 30× damage. The cost is Darkness, Colorless. Flip 3 coins. This attack does 30 damage times the number of heads. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Resistance is Psychic -20. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "It attacks by spraying a repugnant fluid from its tail, but the stench dulls after a few squirts."

Skuntank (#435) has 12 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 10 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2026. The earliest other card is Skuntank 15/130 in Diamond & Pearl (2007). That card lists 90 HP, and this one lists 80 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Uncommon. Hiroaki Ito illustrated that card, and Naoyo Kimura illustrated this one. 11 other cards of Skuntank list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Naoyo Kimura. I count 256 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

HS—Undaunted set binder is where a full HS—Undaunted set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Skuntank can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). I still need this card.
