Chi-Yu 31/132 · Mega Evolution

Mega Evolution is a set in the Mega Evolution series. It was released on September 26, 2025. The printed size is 132. This checklist is longer, at 188 cards. Chi-Yu is 31/132, in position 31 of 188 on this checklist. Before it is 30 Centiskorch, and after it is 32 Mantine. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

Chi-Yu is a Basic Fire Pokémon with 110 HP. In the Pokédex this is Chi-Yu (#1004), generation 9 (Paldea).

Chi-Yu (#1004) has 8 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 6 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2023 to 2026. The earliest other card is Chi-Yu 57/102 in Scarlet & Violet Black Star Promos (2023). Both list 110 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Uncommon. The regulation mark there is G, and here it is I. 5 other cards of Chi-Yu list a different HP.

The attack Scorching Earth lists 40 damage. The cost is Fire. If your opponent has a Stadium in play, discard it. If you do, your opponent can't play any Stadium cards from their hand during their next turn. Weakness is Water ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The regulation mark is I.

I keep a set binder for Mega Evolution, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Mega Evolution set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Chi-Yu can fill a slot in Generation 9 binder (Paldea). I still need this card.
