Mega Scrafty ex 270/217 · Ascended Heroes

Scrafty is Pokédex #560, generation 5 (Unova). Mega Scrafty ex is a Stage 1 MEGA ex Darkness Pokémon with 330 HP. The card says it evolves from Scraggy. In this catalog that name is Scraggy (#559).

Mega Scrafty ex sits at 270/217 in Ascended Heroes, position 270 of 295. Before it is 269 Mega Gengar ex, and after it is 271 Mega Dragonite ex. The set belongs to the Mega Evolution series. It was released on January 30, 2026. The printed size is 217. This checklist is longer, at 295 cards. The collector number is above the printed set size of 217. The listed rarity is MEGA_ATTACK_RARE.

Counterattacking Crest is listed as Ability. If this Pokémon is in the Active Spot and is damaged by an attack from your opponent's Pokémon (even if this Pokémon is Knocked Out), place 5 damage counters on the Attacking Pokémon. The attack Outlaw Leg lists 160 damage. The cost is Darkness, Darkness, Colorless. Discard a random card from your opponent's hand. Discard the top card of your opponent's deck. Weakness is Grass ×2. Scrafty (#560) has 16 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 14 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2026. The earliest other card is Scrafty 69/114 in Black & White (2011). That card is named Scrafty, while this one is Mega Scrafty ex. That card lists 90 HP, and this one lists 330 HP. The rarity there is Rare, and here it is MEGA_ATTACK_RARE. Shin Nagasawa illustrated that card, and Taiga Kasai illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 2. 14 other cards of Scrafty list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Taiga Kasai. I count 16 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Ascended Heroes set binder is where a full Ascended Heroes set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Scrafty can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). Themed lists that include this exact card are Mega Evolution cards. I still need this card.
