Dark Wigglytuff 40/105 · Neo Destiny

Wigglytuff is Pokédex #040, generation 1 (Kanto). Dark Wigglytuff is a Stage 1 Colorless Pokémon with 60 HP. The card lists level 24. The card says it evolves from Jigglypuff. In this catalog that name is Jigglypuff (#039).

Dark Wigglytuff sits at 40/105 in Neo Destiny, position 40 of 113. Before it is 39 Dark Quilava, and after it is 41 Heracross. The set belongs to the Neo series. It was released on February 28, 2002. The printed size is 105. This checklist is longer, at 113 cards. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

The attack Dark Song lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokémon is now Asleep. If tails, the Defending Pokémon is now Confused. Slap Awake is another attack lists 20+ damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. If the Defending Pokémon is Asleep or Confused, this attack does 20 damage plus 20 more damage. Then, the Defending Pokémon is no longer Asleep or Confused. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Resistance is Psychic -30. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "This Pokémon has soft, fine hair. When angered, it increases in size and has been known to charge those it considers a threat."

Wigglytuff (#040) has 27 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 22 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2025. The earliest other card is Wigglytuff 16/64 in Jungle (1999). That card is named Wigglytuff, while this one is Dark Wigglytuff. That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 60 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Uncommon. Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated that card, and Miki Tanaka illustrated this one. 27 other cards of Wigglytuff list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Miki Tanaka. I count 192 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Neo Destiny set binder is where a full Neo Destiny set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Wigglytuff can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Team Rocket cards and Igglybuff, Jigglypuff, and Wigglytuff. I still need this card.
