Cherrim 6/17 · POP Series 8

POP Series 8 is a set in the POP series. It was released on September 1, 2008. The printed size is 17, and the checklist is the same length. Cherrim is 6/17, in position 6 of 17 on this checklist. Before it is 5 Yanmega, and after it is 7 Carnivine. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

Cherrim is a Stage 1 Grass Pokémon with 80 HP. The card lists level 26. In the Pokédex this is Cherrim (#421), generation 4 (Sinnoh). The card says it evolves from Cherubi. In this catalog that name is Cherubi (#420).

Atsuko Nishida illustrated this card. The same name is on 408 other cards in the catalog.

Cherrim (#421) has 11 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 11 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2026. The earliest other card is Cherrim 45/130 in Diamond & Pearl (2007). Both list 80 HP. Both list the rarity Uncommon. 1 other cards of Cherrim list a different HP.

The attack Worry Seed lists 20 damage. The cost is Grass. Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokémon is now Confused. Magical Leaf is another attack lists 20+ damage. The cost is Grass, Grass. Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 20 damage plus 20 more damage and remove 3 damage counters from Cherrim. Weakness is Fire +20. Resistance is Water -20. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "It blooms during times of strong sunlight. It tries to make up for everything it endured as a bud."

I keep a set binder for POP Series 8, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the POP Series 8 set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Cherrim can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). I still need this card.
