Blacephalon 104/236 · Cosmic Eclipse

Blacephalon is Pokédex #806, generation 7 (Alola). Blacephalon is a Basic Ultra Beast Psychic Pokémon with 110 HP.

Blacephalon sits at 104/236 in Cosmic Eclipse, position 104 of 272. Before it is 103 Marshadow, and after it is 105 Onix. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on November 1, 2019. The printed size is 236. This checklist is longer, at 272 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

The attack Fireworks Bomb lists no damage number. The cost is Psychic, Colorless. Put 4 damage counters on your opponent's Pokémon in any way you like. If your opponent has exactly 3 Prize cards remaining, put 12 damage counters on them instead. Weakness is Darkness ×2. Resistance is Fighting -20. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "It slithers toward people. Then, without warning, it triggers the explosion of its own head. It's apparently one kind of Ultra Beast."

Blacephalon (#806) has 5 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 3 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2017 to 2019. The earliest other card is Blacephalon SM221/248 in SM Black Star Promos (2017). Both list 110 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Holo. Shin Nagasawa illustrated that card, and Hasuno illustrated this one. 4 other cards of Blacephalon list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Hasuno. I count 74 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Cosmic Eclipse set binder is where a full Cosmic Eclipse set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Blacephalon can fill a slot in Generation 7 binder (Alola). I still need this card.
