Whimsicott 91/145 · Guardians Rising

Whimsicott is Pokédex #547, generation 5 (Unova). Whimsicott is a Stage 1 Fairy Pokémon with 80 HP. The card says it evolves from Cottonee. In this catalog that name is Cottonee (#546).

Whimsicott sits at 91/145 in Guardians Rising, position 95 of 180. Before it is 90 Cottonee, and after it is 92 Sylveon-GX. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on May 5, 2017. The printed size is 145. This checklist is longer, at 180 cards. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

The attack The Wages of Fluff lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. If the Defending Pokémon is Knocked Out during your next turn, take 2 more Prize cards. Fairy Wind is another attack lists 30 damage. The cost is Fairy. Weakness is Metal ×2. Resistance is Darkness -20. The flavor text reads "It rides on the wind and slips into people's homes. After it has turned a room into a cotton-filled mess, it giggles to itself and takes off."

Whimsicott (#547) has 22 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 14 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2025. The earliest other card is Whimsicott 11/98 in Emerging Powers (2011). Both list 80 HP. Both list the rarity Uncommon. sui illustrated that card, and Kouki Saitou illustrated this one. 18 other cards of Whimsicott list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Kouki Saitou. I count 652 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Guardians Rising set binder is where a full Guardians Rising set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Whimsicott can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). I still need this card.
