Electivire 43/147 · Burning Shadows

Electivire is Pokédex #466, generation 4 (Sinnoh). Electivire is a Stage 1 Lightning Pokémon with 140 HP. The card says it evolves from Electabuzz. In this catalog that name is Electabuzz (#125).

Electivire sits at 43/147 in Burning Shadows, position 45 of 177. Before it is 42 Electabuzz, and after it is 44 Tynamo. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on August 5, 2017. The printed size is 147. This checklist is longer, at 177 cards. The listed rarity is Rare.

The attack Thunder Punch lists 60+ damage. The cost is Lightning, Colorless, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 60 more damage. If tails, this Pokémon does 20 damage to itself. Giga Impact is another attack lists 170 damage. The cost is Lightning, Lightning, Colorless, Colorless. This Pokémon can't attack during your next turn. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Resistance is Metal -20. Retreat cost is 4. The flavor text reads "It pushes the tips of its tails against its foes and then lets loose a high-voltage current. Its foes are burned to a crisp in an instant."

Electivire (#466) has 19 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 17 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2025. The earliest other card is Electivire 3/130 in Diamond & Pearl (2007). That card lists 100 HP, and this one lists 140 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare. Nakaoka illustrated that card, and kawayoo illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 3, and here it is 4. 12 other cards of Electivire list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads kawayoo. I count 209 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Burning Shadows set binder is where a full Burning Shadows set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Electivire can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). I still need this card.
