Altaria 80/111 · Crimson Invasion

Altaria is Pokédex #334, generation 3 (Hoenn). Altaria is a Stage 1 Colorless Pokémon with 90 HP. The card says it evolves from Swablu. In this catalog that name is Swablu (#333).

Altaria sits at 80/111 in Crimson Invasion, position 81 of 126. Before it is 79 Swablu, and after it is 81 Starly. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on November 3, 2017. The printed size is 111. This checklist is longer, at 126 cards. The listed rarity is Rare.

The attack Draco Melody lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, search your deck for a Dragon Pokémon and put it onto your Bench. Then, shuffle your deck. Cotton Guard is another attack lists 30 damage. The cost is Colorless. During your opponent's next turn, this Pokémon takes 30 less damage from attacks (after applying Weakness and Resistance). Weakness is Lightning ×2. Resistance is Fighting -20. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "It flies gracefully through the sky. Its melodic humming makes you feel like you're in a dream."

Altaria (#334) has 38 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 27 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2024. The earliest other card is Altaria 2/97 in Dragon (2003). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 90 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare. Atsuko Nishida illustrated that card, and sui illustrated this one. 31 other cards of Altaria list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads sui. I count 194 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Crimson Invasion set binder is where a full Crimson Invasion set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Altaria can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
