Lucario-GX 122/131 · Forbidden Light

Forbidden Light is a set in the Sun & Moon series. It was released on May 4, 2018. The printed size is 131. This checklist is longer, at 150 cards. Lucario-GX is 122/131, in position 126 of 150 on this checklist. Before it is 121 Naganadel-GX, and after it is 123 Zygarde-GX. The listed rarity is Rare Ultra.

Lucario-GX is a Stage 1 GX Fighting Pokémon with 210 HP. In the Pokédex this is Lucario (#448), generation 4 (Sinnoh). The card says it evolves from Riolu. In this catalog that name is Riolu (#447).

5ban Graphics illustrated this card. The same name is on 1,629 other cards in the catalog.

Lucario (#448) has 59 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 40 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2026. The earliest other card is Lucario 6/130 in Diamond & Pearl (2007). That card is named Lucario, while this one is Lucario-GX. That card lists 90 HP, and this one lists 210 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare Ultra. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and 5ban Graphics illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 2. 52 other cards of Lucario list a different HP.

The attack Aura Strike lists 30+ damage. The cost is Fighting. If this Pokémon evolved from Riolu during this turn, this attack does 90 more damage. Cyclone Kick is another attack lists 130 damage. The cost is Fighting, Fighting, Colorless. Cantankerous Beatdown-GX is another attack lists 30× damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. This attack does 30 damage for each damage counter on this Pokémon. (You can't use more than 1 GX attack in a game.) Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The card text says: Pokémon-GX rule: When your Pokémon-GX is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

I keep a set binder for Forbidden Light, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Forbidden Light set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Lucario can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). Themed lists that include this exact card are Riolu and Lucario. I still need this card.
