Altaria 40a/70 · Dragon Majesty

Dragon Majesty is a set in the Sun & Moon series. It was released on September 7, 2018. The printed size is 70. This checklist is longer, at 80 cards. Altaria is 40a/70, in position 41 of 80 on this checklist. Before it is 40 Altaria, and after it is 41 Altaria-GX. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Altaria is a Stage 1 Dragon Pokémon with 80 HP. In the Pokédex this is Altaria (#334), generation 3 (Hoenn). The card says it evolves from Swablu. In this catalog that name is Swablu (#333).

Shin Nagasawa illustrated this card. The same name is on 303 other cards in the catalog.

Altaria (#334) has 38 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 28 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2024. The earliest other card is Altaria 2/97 in Dragon (2003). Both list 80 HP. Both list the rarity Rare Holo. Atsuko Nishida illustrated that card, and Shin Nagasawa illustrated this one. 30 other cards of Altaria list a different HP.

Fight Song is listed as Ability. Your Dragon Pokémon's attacks do 20 more damage to your opponent's Active Pokémon (before applying Weakness and Resistance). The attack Pierce lists 20 damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. Weakness is Fairy ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "On sunny days, it flies freely through the sky and blends into the clouds. It sings in a beautiful soprano."

I keep a set binder for Dragon Majesty, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Dragon Majesty set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Altaria can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
