Espeon 89/214 · Lost Thunder

Lost Thunder is a set in the Sun & Moon series. It was released on November 2, 2018. The printed size is 214. This checklist is longer, at 240 cards. Espeon is 89/214, in position 89 of 240 on this checklist. Before it is 88 Xatu, and after it is 90 Unown. The listed rarity is Rare.

Espeon is a Stage 1 Psychic Pokémon with 90 HP. In the Pokédex this is Espeon (#196), generation 2 (Johto). The card says it evolves from Eevee. In this catalog that name is Eevee (#133).

Ryota Murayama illustrated this card. The same name is on 55 other cards in the catalog.

Espeon (#196) has 39 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 25 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2001 to 2026. The earliest other card is Espeon 1/75 in Neo Discovery (2001). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 90 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare. Atsuko Nishida illustrated that card, and Ryota Murayama illustrated this one. 34 other cards of Espeon list a different HP.

The attack Allure lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. Draw 3 cards. Energy Crush is another attack lists 20+ damage. The cost is Psychic. This attack does 20 more damage times the amount of Energy attached to all of your opponent's Pokémon. Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "It unleashes psychic power from the orb on its forehead. When its power is exhausted, the orb grows dull and dark."

I keep a set binder for Lost Thunder, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Lost Thunder set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Espeon can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Eevee and the Eeveelutions. I still need this card.
