Xatu 88/214 · Lost Thunder

Xatu is Pokédex #178, generation 2 (Johto). Xatu is a Stage 1 Psychic Pokémon with 100 HP. The card says it evolves from Natu. In this catalog that name is Natu (#177).

Xatu sits at 88/214 in Lost Thunder, position 88 of 240. Before it is 87 Natu, and after it is 89 Espeon. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on November 2, 2018. The printed size is 214. This checklist is longer, at 240 cards. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

The attack Energy Gaze lists 30+ damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. Your opponent reveals their hand. If you find any Energy cards there, this attack does 60 more damage. Psychic Sphere is another attack lists 80 damage. The cost is Psychic, Colorless, Colorless. Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "They say that it stays still and quiet because it is seeing both the past and future at the same time."

Xatu (#178) has 19 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 17 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2000 to 2024. The earliest other card is Xatu 52/111 in Neo Genesis (2000). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 100 HP. Both list the rarity Uncommon. 15 other cards of Xatu list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Ken Sugimori. I count 1,112 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Lost Thunder set binder is where a full Lost Thunder set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Xatu can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
