Xatu δ 25/101 · Dragon Frontiers

Xatu is Pokédex #178, generation 2 (Johto). Xatu δ is a Stage 1 Darkness Pokémon with 70 HP. The card says it evolves from Natu. In this catalog that name is Natu (#177).

Xatu δ sits at 25/101 in Dragon Frontiers, position 25 of 101. Before it is 24 Vibrava δ, and after it is 26 Bayleef δ. The set belongs to the EX series. It was released on November 1, 2006. The printed size is 101, and the checklist is the same length. The listed rarity is Rare.

Extra Feather is listed as Poké-Body. Each of your Stage 2 Pokémon-ex does 10 more damage to the Defending Pokémon (before applying Weakness and Resistance). The attack Confuse Ray lists 20 damage. The cost is Darkness, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokémon is now Confused. Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 1.

Xatu (#178) has 19 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 17 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2000 to 2024. The earliest other card is Xatu 52/111 in Neo Genesis (2000). That card is named Xatu, while this one is Xatu δ. That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 70 HP. The rarity there is Uncommon, and here it is Rare. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Kouki Saitou illustrated this one. 16 other cards of Xatu list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Kouki Saitou. I count 652 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Dragon Frontiers set binder is where a full Dragon Frontiers set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Xatu can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Delta Species cards. I still need this card.
