Suicune SM149/248 · SM Black Star Promos

Suicune is Pokédex #245, generation 2 (Johto). Suicune is a Basic Water Pokémon with 110 HP.

Suicune sits at SM149/248 in SM Black Star Promos, position 152 of 251. Before it is SM148 Champions Festival, and after it is SM150 Raikou. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on February 3, 2017. The printed size is 248. This checklist is longer, at 251 cards. The listed rarity is Promo.

Frozen Current is listed as Ability. Once during your turn (before your attack), if this Pokémon is your Active Pokémon, you may have your opponent switch their Active Pokémon with 1 of their Benched Pokémon. The attack Aurora Gain lists 70 damage. The cost is Water, Colorless, Colorless. Heal 30 damage from this Pokémon. Weakness is Grass ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "Said to be the embodiment of north winds, it can instantly purify filthy, murky water."

Suicune (#245) has 30 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 21 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2025. The earliest other card is Suicune 53/53 in Wizards Black Star Promos (1999). That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 110 HP. Both list the rarity Promo. Atsuko Nishida illustrated that card, and Kouki Saitou illustrated this one. 29 other cards of Suicune list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Kouki Saitou. I count 652 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

SM Black Star Promos set binder is where a full SM Black Star Promos set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Suicune can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
