Altaria ex 232/182 · Paradox Rift

Altaria is Pokédex #334, generation 3 (Hoenn). Altaria ex is a Stage 1 ex Dragon Pokémon with 260 HP. The card says it evolves from Swablu. In this catalog that name is Swablu (#333).

Altaria ex sits at 232/182 in Paradox Rift, position 232 of 266. Before it is 231 Gholdengo ex, and after it is 233 Maushold ex. The set belongs to the Scarlet & Violet series. It was released on November 3, 2023. The printed size is 182. This checklist is longer, at 266 cards. The collector number is above the printed set size of 182. The listed rarity is Ultra Rare.

Humming Heal is listed as Ability. Once during your turn, you may heal 20 damage from each of your Pokémon. The attack Light Pulse lists 140 damage. The cost is Water, Metal. During your opponent's next turn, prevent all effects of attacks used by your opponent's Pokémon done to this Pokémon. (Damage is not an effect.) Retreat cost is 1. The card text says: Pokémon ex rule: When your Pokémon ex is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards. The regulation mark is G.

Altaria (#334) has 38 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 28 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2024. The earliest other card is Altaria 2/97 in Dragon (2003). That card is named Altaria, while this one is Altaria ex. That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 260 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Ultra Rare. Atsuko Nishida illustrated that card, and Saki Hayashiro illustrated this one. 36 other cards of Altaria list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Saki Hayashiro. I count 40 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Paradox Rift set binder is where a full Paradox Rift set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Altaria can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
