Kingdra ex 80/64 · Shrouded Fable

Kingdra is Pokédex #230, generation 2 (Johto). Kingdra ex is a Stage 2 ex Water Pokémon with 310 HP. The card says it evolves from Seadra. In this catalog that name is Seadra (#117).

Kingdra ex sits at 80/64 in Shrouded Fable, position 80 of 99. Before it is 79 Bewear, and after it is 81 Revavroom ex. The set belongs to the Scarlet & Violet series. It was released on August 2, 2024. The printed size is 64. This checklist is longer, at 99 cards. The collector number is above the printed set size of 64. The listed rarity is Ultra Rare.

The attack King's Order lists no damage number. The cost is Water. Put up to 3 Water Pokémon from your discard pile onto your Bench. Hydro Pump is another attack lists 50+ damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. This attack does 50 more damage for each Water Energy attached to this Pokémon. Weakness is Lightning ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The card text says: Pokémon ex rule: When your Pokémon ex is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards. The regulation mark is H.

Kingdra (#230) has 28 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 22 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2000 to 2024. The earliest other card is Kingdra 8/111 in Neo Genesis (2000). That card is named Kingdra, while this one is Kingdra ex. That card lists 90 HP, and this one lists 310 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Ultra Rare. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and PLANETA Igarashi illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 2, and here it is 1. 26 other cards of Kingdra list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads PLANETA Igarashi. I count 41 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Shrouded Fable set binder is where a full Shrouded Fable set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Kingdra can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
