Astral Radiance is a set in the Sword & Shield series. It was released on May 27, 2022. The printed size is 189. This checklist is longer, at 216 cards. Hisuian Samurott is 100/189, in position 100 of 216 on this checklist. Before it is 99 Darkrai VSTAR, and after it is 101 Hisuian Samurott V. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Hisuian Samurott is a Stage 2 Darkness Pokémon with 170 HP. In the Pokédex this is Samurott (#503), generation 5 (Unova). The card says it evolves from Dewott. In this catalog that name is Dewott (#502).

Kouki Saitou illustrated this card. The same name is on 652 other cards in the catalog.

Samurott (#503) has 18 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 10 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2025. The earliest other card is Samurott BW22/101 in BW Black Star Promos (2011). That card is named Samurott, while this one is Hisuian Samurott. That card lists 140 HP, and this one lists 170 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Holo. 5ban Graphics illustrated that card, and Kouki Saitou illustrated this one. 17 other cards of Samurott list a different HP.

Wily Stance is listed as Ability. You must discard a card from your hand in order to use this Ability. Once during your turn, you may draw 3 cards. The attack Dark Mastery lists 60+ damage. The cost is Darkness, Colorless, Colorless. This attack does 20 more damage for each Energy attached to all of your Pokémon. Weakness is Grass ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "Hard of heart and deft of blade, this rare form of Samurott is a product of the Pokémon's evolution in the region of Hisui. Its turbulent blows crash into foes like ceaseless pounding waves." The regulation mark is F.

I keep a set binder for Astral Radiance, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Astral Radiance set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Samurott can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). Themed lists that include this exact card are Hisuian and Paldean forms and Unova starters. I still need this card.
