Thievul 104/189 · Astral Radiance

Astral Radiance is a set in the Sword & Shield series. It was released on May 27, 2022. The printed size is 189. This checklist is longer, at 216 cards. Thievul is 104/189, in position 104 of 216 on this checklist. Before it is 103 Nickit, and after it is 105 Magnemite. The listed rarity is Rare.

Thievul is a Stage 1 Darkness Pokémon with 100 HP. In the Pokédex this is Thievul (#828), generation 8 (Galar). The card says it evolves from Nickit. In this catalog that name is Nickit (#827).

KIYOTAKA OSHIYAMA illustrated this card. The same name is on 31 other cards in the catalog.

Thievul (#828) has 10 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 9 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2020 to 2026. The earliest other card is Thievul 126/202 in Sword & Shield (2020). Both list 100 HP. Both list the rarity Rare. Kouki Saitou illustrated that card, and KIYOTAKA OSHIYAMA illustrated this one. The regulation mark there is D, and here it is F. 2 other cards of Thievul list a different HP.

Baffling is listed as Ability. If your opponent has 2 or fewer Prize cards remaining, whenever your opponent plays a Supporter card from their hand, prevent all effects of that card done to your Benched Pokémon V. The attack Sharp Fang lists 110 damage. The cost is Darkness, Darkness, Colorless. Weakness is Grass ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "It secretly marks potential targets with a scent. By following the scent, it stalks its targets and steals from them when they least expect it." The regulation mark is F.

I keep a set binder for Astral Radiance, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Astral Radiance set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Thievul can fill a slot in Generation 8 binder (Galar). I still need this card.
