Sunflora 6/195 · Silver Tempest

Sunflora is Pokédex #192, generation 2 (Johto). Sunflora is a Stage 1 Grass Pokémon with 90 HP. The card says it evolves from Sunkern. In this catalog that name is Sunkern (#191).

Sunflora sits at 6/195 in Silver Tempest, position 6 of 215. Before it is 5 Sunkern, and after it is 7 Serperior V. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on November 11, 2022. The printed size is 195. This checklist is longer, at 215 cards. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

The attack Bright Beam lists 10+ damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. You may discard up to 3 Energy cards from your hand. This attack does 70 more damage for each card you discarded in this way. Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "It gets energy from warm sunlight and is known for its habit of moving in pursuit of it." The regulation mark is F.

Sunflora (#192) has 10 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 9 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2000 to 2024. The earliest other card is Sunflora 50/111 in Neo Genesis (2000). That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 90 HP. Both list the rarity Uncommon. Kagemaru Himeno illustrated that card, and zig illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 2. 8 other cards of Sunflora list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads zig. I count 11 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Silver Tempest set binder is where a full Silver Tempest set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Sunflora can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
