Girafarig 65/185 · Vivid Voltage

Girafarig is Pokédex #203, generation 2 (Johto). Girafarig is a Basic Psychic Pokémon with 90 HP.

Girafarig sits at 65/185 in Vivid Voltage, position 65 of 203. Before it is 64 Clefable, and after it is 66 Shedinja. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on November 13, 2020. The printed size is 185. This checklist is longer, at 203 cards. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

The attack Psypower lists no damage number. The cost is Psychic. Put 2 damage counters on your opponent's Pokémon in any way you like. Commanding Tail is another attack lists 30 damage. The cost is Psychic, Colorless. You may have your opponent shuffle their hand into their deck. If you do, your opponent draws 4 cards. Weakness is Darkness ×2. Resistance is Fighting -30. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "Its tail has a small brain of its own. Beware! If you get close, it may react to your scent by biting." The regulation mark is D.

Girafarig (#203) has 13 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 13 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2000 to 2024. The earliest other card is Girafarig 58/111 in Neo Genesis (2000). That card lists 60 HP, and this one lists 90 HP. The rarity there is Common, and here it is Uncommon. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and sowsow illustrated this one. 9 other cards of Girafarig list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads sowsow. I count 104 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Vivid Voltage set binder is where a full Vivid Voltage set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Girafarig can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). Themed lists that include this exact card are sowsow cards. I still need this card.
