Eldegoss 15/72 · Shining Fates

Eldegoss is Pokédex #830, generation 8 (Galar). Eldegoss is a Stage 1 Grass Pokémon with 90 HP. The card says it evolves from Gossifleur. In this catalog that name is Gossifleur (#829).

Eldegoss sits at 15/72 in Shining Fates, position 15 of 73. Before it is 14 Gossifleur, and after it is 16 Zarude. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on February 19, 2021. The printed size is 72. This checklist is longer, at 73 cards. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

The attack Enriching Seeds lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. Heal all damage from 1 of your Benched Pokémon. Surprise Attack is another attack lists 50 damage. The cost is Grass. Flip a coin. If tails, this attack does nothing. Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "The cotton on the head of this Pokémon can be spun into a glossy, gorgeous yarn—a Galar regional specialty." The regulation mark is E.

Eldegoss (#830) has 10 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 8 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2019 to 2024. The earliest other card is Eldegoss SWSH046/307 in SWSH Black Star Promos (2019). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 90 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Uncommon. Mina Nakai illustrated that card, and kodama illustrated this one. The regulation mark there is D, and here it is E. 8 other cards of Eldegoss list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads kodama. I count 86 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Shining Fates set binder is where a full Shining Fates set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Eldegoss can fill a slot in Generation 8 binder (Galar). I still need this card.
