Mew V 251/264 · Fusion Strike

Fusion Strike is a set in the Sword & Shield series. It was released on November 12, 2021. The printed size is 264. This checklist is longer, at 284 cards. Mew V is 251/264, in position 251 of 284 on this checklist. Before it is 250 Mew V, and after it is 252 Sandaconda V. The listed rarity is Rare Ultra.

Mew V is a Basic V Fusion Strike Psychic Pokémon with 180 HP. In the Pokédex this is Mew (#151), generation 1 (Kanto).

Naoki Saito illustrated this card. The same name is on 270 other cards in the catalog.

Mew (#151) has 60 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 35 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Mew 8/53 in Wizards Black Star Promos (1999). That card is named Mew, while this one is Mew V. That card lists 50 HP, and this one lists 180 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Ultra. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Naoki Saito illustrated this one. 50 other cards of Mew list a different HP.

The attack Energy Mix lists no damage number. The cost is Psychic. Search your deck for an Energy card and attach it to 1 of your Fusion Strike Pokémon. Then, shuffle your deck. Psychic Leap is another attack lists 70 damage. The cost is Psychic, Colorless. You may shuffle this Pokémon and all attached cards into your deck. Weakness is Darkness ×2. Resistance is Fighting -30. The card text says: V rule: When your Pokémon V is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards. The regulation mark is E.

I keep a set binder for Fusion Strike, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Fusion Strike set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Mew can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Mew and Mewtwo and Mythical Pokémon, from Sword & Shield on. I still need this card.
