Mew 29/124 · Fates Collide

Fates Collide is a set in the XY series. It was released on May 2, 2016. The printed size is 124. This checklist is longer, at 129 cards. Mew is 29/124, in position 29 of 129 on this checklist. Before it is 28 Weezing, and after it is 30 Spoink. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Mew is a Basic Psychic Pokémon with 50 HP. In the Pokédex this is Mew (#151), generation 1 (Kanto).

Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated this card. The same name is on 721 other cards in the catalog.

Mew (#151) has 60 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 34 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Mew 8/53 in Wizards Black Star Promos (1999). Both list 50 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Holo. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated this one. 54 other cards of Mew list a different HP.

Memories of Dawn is listed as Ability. This Pokémon can use the attacks of any of your Basic Pokémon in play. (You still need the necessary Energy to use each attack.) The attack Encounter lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. Search your deck for a Pokémon, reveal it, and put it into your hand. Shuffle your deck afterward. Weakness is Psychic ×2. The flavor text reads "Its DNA is said to contain the genetic codes of all Pokémon, so it can use all kinds of techniques."

I keep a set binder for Fates Collide, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Fates Collide set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Mew can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Mitsuhiro Arita cards. I still need this card.
