Eelektross 65/160 · Primal Clash

Primal Clash is a set in the XY series. It was released on February 4, 2015. The printed size is 160. This checklist is longer, at 164 cards. Eelektross is 65/160, in position 65 of 164 on this checklist. Before it is 64 Eelektrik, and after it is 66 Nidoran ♀. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Eelektross is a Stage 2 Lightning Pokémon with 140 HP. In the Pokédex this is Eelektross (#604), generation 5 (Unova). The card says it evolves from Eelektrik. In this catalog that name is Eelektrik (#603).

Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated this card. The same name is on 721 other cards in the catalog.

Eelektross (#604) has 14 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 11 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2026. The earliest other card is Eelektross 41/101 in Noble Victories (2011). Both list 140 HP. Both list the rarity Rare Holo. Masakazu Fukuda illustrated that card, and Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated this one. 10 other cards of Eelektross list a different HP.

Energy Connect is listed as Ability. As often as you like during your turn (before your attack), you may move a basic Energy attached to 1 of your Benched Pokémon to your Active Pokémon. The attack Electricannon lists 80+ damage. The cost is Lightning, Lightning, Colorless, Colorless. You may discard all Lightning Energy attached to this Pokémon. If you do, this attack does 50 more damage. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Resistance is Metal -20. Retreat cost is 3. The flavor text reads "They crawl out of the ocean using their arms. They will attack prey on shore and immediately drag it into the ocean."

I keep a set binder for Primal Clash, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Primal Clash set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Eelektross can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). Themed lists that include this exact card are Mitsuhiro Arita cards. I still need this card.
