Eelektross 33/101 · Plasma Blast

Eelektross is Pokédex #604, generation 5 (Unova). Eelektross is a Stage 2 Team Plasma Lightning Pokémon with 140 HP. The card says it evolves from Eelektrik. In this catalog that name is Eelektrik (#603).

Eelektross sits at 33/101 in Plasma Blast, position 33 of 105. Before it is 32 Eelektrik, and after it is 34 Drifloon. The set belongs to the Black & White series. It was released on August 14, 2013. The printed size is 101. This checklist is longer, at 105 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

The attack Crush and Burn lists 30× damage. The cost is Lightning, Colorless. Discard as many Energy attached to your Pokémon as you like. This attack does 30 damage times the number of Energy cards you discarded. Thunder Tempest is another attack lists 50× damage. The cost is Lightning, Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. Flip 4 coins. This attack does 50 damage times the number of heads. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Retreat cost is 3. The flavor text reads "It latches on to prey with its sucker mouth, sinking in its fangs and shocking the prey with powerful electricity."

Eelektross (#604) has 14 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 11 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2026. The earliest other card is Eelektross 41/101 in Noble Victories (2011). Both list 140 HP. Both list the rarity Rare Holo. Masakazu Fukuda illustrated that card, and 5ban Graphics illustrated this one. 10 other cards of Eelektross list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads 5ban Graphics. I count 1,629 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Plasma Blast set binder is where a full Plasma Blast set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Eelektross can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). I still need this card.
