Bayleef 2/122 · BREAKpoint

Bayleef is Pokédex #153, generation 2 (Johto). Bayleef is a Stage 1 Grass Pokémon with 90 HP. The card says it evolves from Chikorita. In this catalog that name is Chikorita (#152). The card lists Meganium, Meganium (#154) under evolves to.

Bayleef sits at 2/122 in BREAKpoint, position 2 of 126. Before it is 1 Chikorita, and after it is 3 Meganium. The set belongs to the XY series. It was released on February 3, 2016. The printed size is 122. This checklist is longer, at 126 cards. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

The attack Body Slam lists 20 damage. The cost is Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, your opponent's active Pokémon is now Paralyzed. Vine Whip is another attack lists 30 damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless. Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "The buds that ring its neck give off a spicy aroma that perks people up."

Bayleef (#153) has 11 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 10 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2000 to 2026. The earliest other card is Bayleef 28/111 in Neo Genesis (2000). That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 90 HP. Both list the rarity Uncommon. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Mizue illustrated this one. 9 other cards of Bayleef list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Mizue. I count 184 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

BREAKpoint set binder is where a full BREAKpoint set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Bayleef can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
