Altaria XY46/211 · XY Black Star Promos

Altaria is Pokédex #334, generation 3 (Hoenn). Altaria is a Stage 1 Colorless Pokémon with 90 HP. The card says it evolves from Swablu. In this catalog that name is Swablu (#333).

Altaria sits at XY46/211 in XY Black Star Promos, position 46 of 216. Before it is XY45 Gallade-EX, and after it is XY47 Heliolisk. The set belongs to the XY series. It was released on October 12, 2013. The printed size is 211. This checklist is longer, at 216 cards. The listed rarity is Promo.

Clear Humming is listed as Ability. Each of your Colorless Pokémon has no Weakness. The attack Wing Attack lists 30 damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. Weakness is Lightning ×2. Resistance is Fighting -20. Retreat cost is 1. Δ Evolution is the ancient trait on this card. You may play this card from your hand to evolve a Pokémon during your first turn or the turn you play that Pokémon. The flavor text reads "On sunny days, it flies freely through the sky and blends into the clouds. It sings in a beautiful soprano."

Altaria (#334) has 38 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 27 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2024. The earliest other card is Altaria 2/97 in Dragon (2003). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 90 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Promo. Atsuko Nishida illustrated that card, and Naoki Saito illustrated this one. 31 other cards of Altaria list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Naoki Saito. I count 270 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

XY Black Star Promos set binder is where a full XY Black Star Promos set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Altaria can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
