Giratina-EX 124/124 · Dragons Exalted

Giratina is Pokédex #487, generation 4 (Sinnoh). Giratina-EX is a Basic EX Dragon Pokémon with 180 HP.

Giratina-EX sits at 124/124 in Dragons Exalted, position 124 of 128. Before it is 123 Rayquaza-EX, and after it is 125 Serperior. The set belongs to the Black & White series. It was released on 15 August 2012. The printed size is 124. This checklist is longer, at 128 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Ultra.

The attack Shred lists 90 damage. The cost is Grass, Psychic, Colorless. This attack's damage isn't affected by any effects on the Defending Pokémon. Dragon Pulse is another attack lists 130 damage. The cost is Grass, Psychic, Colorless, Colorless. Discard the top 3 cards of your deck. Weakness is Dragon ×2. Retreat cost is 3. The card text says: Pokémon-EX rule: When a Pokémon-EX has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Giratina (#487) has 29 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 15 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2023. The earliest other card is Giratina LV.X DP38/56 in DP Black Star Promos (2007). That card is named Giratina LV.X, while this one is Giratina-EX. That card lists 130 HP, and this one lists 180 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Ultra. Shizurow illustrated that card, and 5ban Graphics illustrated this one. 28 other cards of Giratina list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads 5ban Graphics. I count 1,629 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Dragons Exalted set binder is where a full Dragons Exalted set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Giratina can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). Themed lists that include this exact card are Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina. I still need this card.
