Celebi-EX 141/149 · Boundaries Crossed

Celebi is Pokédex #251, generation 2 (Johto). Celebi-EX is a Basic EX Grass Pokémon with 110 HP.

Celebi-EX sits at 141/149 in Boundaries Crossed, position 141 of 153. Before it is 140 Gold Potion, and after it is 142 Keldeo-EX. The set belongs to the Black & White series. It was released on 7 November 2012. The printed size is 149. This checklist is longer, at 153 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Ultra.

Time Recall is listed as Ability. Each of your evolved Pokémon can use any attack from its previous Evolutions. (You still need the necessary Energy to use each attack.) The attack Wind Whisk lists 60 damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless, Colorless. Switch this Pokémon with 1 of your Benched Pokémon. Weakness is Fire ×2. Resistance is Water -20. Retreat cost is 1. The card text says: Pokémon-EX rule: When a Pokémon-EX has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Celebi (#251) has 35 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 24 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2025. The earliest other card is Celebi 50/53 in Wizards Black Star Promos (1999). That card is named Celebi, while this one is Celebi-EX. That card lists 50 HP, and this one lists 110 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Ultra. Hajime Kusajima illustrated that card, and 5ban Graphics illustrated this one. 34 other cards of Celebi list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads 5ban Graphics. I count 1,629 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Boundaries Crossed set binder is where a full Boundaries Crossed set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Celebi can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
